Dr. Fathima Razik – General Pediatrics / PEM

My name is Dr. Fathima Razik and I am a paediatric emergency medicine doctor who has been practicing in Ontario for about 3 years. I mostly work in the emergency department but also do some outpatient clinics. I am excited to join the Rocket Doctor community as a paediatrician!

Referrals criteria: asthma, constipation, eczema, picky eaters, sleep training, vaccine hesitancy, rashes, newborn questions (except weight gain of course). There’s a long list so happy to be messaged about referrals (directly) and can confirm what I can take.

Will not be accepting referrals for: growth restriction/FTT, mental health concerns, ADHD, autism as these are best served with in person consults.

Dr. Melanie Tannenbaum – General Pediatrics

Dr. Melanie Tannenbaum completed her medical degree and pediatric residency at McMaster University in Hamilton. She also studied genetics at Western University. Dr. Tannenbaum’s clinical focus is in the health and well-being of all children. She is passionate about preventative medicine and helping her patients and their families learn about their health. Dr Tannenbaum accepts referrals for consultations for a wide range of pediatric concerns, including constipation, headaches, and eczema.

All of our pediatricians will also be doing walk in clinics for pediatrics with us, so if you wanted a child re-assessed for any reason or just a quick re-check of symptoms, this would also be a valuable referral.

Dr. John Basmaji – General Internal Medicine

Dr. Basmaji is happy to field any consult regardless of how ‘silly’ it may seem to others, as long as it falls within the realm of general internal medicine. He does not see consultations on fibromyalgia.
